Mould needs moisture, a suitable temperature and organic residue. Fixing the leak or condensation source is essential; cleaning alone will not prevent recurrence. Non-porous metal surfaces are easier to wipe, but surrounding walls and stored items must also stay dry.
Monsoon problems usually combine high indoor humidity with leaks, slow drying and poor ventilation. The cabinet material, wall condition, plumbing and airflow must be assessed together. Non-absorbent metal cabinets reduce one important moisture pathway.
